Dr Keir McNamara, Clare Peace Park and Joe Power, Historian and Author ‘Clare and the Great War’ were live in studio to inform us about the upcoming World War One commemorations in Clare.
700 people from Clare died in WWI and this Sunday (Nov 11) marks the 100th anniversary of the end of one of the bloodiest conflicts the world has ever seen. It is believed that Kilrush supplied more soldiers to the armed forces in WW1 than any other town of its size in Ireland or Britain.
