Coronavirus – Impact On Older People

Today on Morning Focus, we spoke to Kay Murphy of Active Retirement Ireland about the impact Covid-19 is having on the older people in our community.

In part, of his speech last night, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar stated that older people and those with long-term illnesses would be asked to enter into a ‘cocoon’ period. What supports are needed then, and now, for our older people? Kay Murphy who is the President of Active Retirement Ireland joined us on the line to discuss this further.
