It ended with a bang, rather than a whimper, as a much-improved performance from Clare saw them bounce back from heavy defeats to Tipperary and limerick to defeat Cork at Cusack Park.
However, those losses were the difference as the side were eliminated on scoring difference, after they didn’t get the favour needed from Limerick in their game against Tipperary.
