Clare Irish Dancers Go Viral on TikTok

Irish dancing group Cairde have become a viral sensation, hitting 1.3m followers on TikTok and racking up over 70 million views! Six young men from Clare and Galway came together to form Cairde, posting videos of original Irish dancing routines set to popular music. The group decided to get together after lockdown to make a number of dance videos together – that have now gotten global attention. The group appeared last week on the Late Late Show, showcasing their skills. The boys actually formed the group at the Fleadh in Ennis in 2017 when they decided to dance together on the streets and they’ve been performing together ever since!

On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Gavin spoke to the Clare trio of the six member group, Brian Culligan, Stephen McGuinness and Ethan Quinton about their success.
