Clare Abuse Survivor To Meet With Justice Minister Over Issue Of Offender Sentencing

A young woman who was sexually abused over a ten year period in her county Clare home will tomorrow meet the Justice Minister to highlight concerns over sentencing of offenders.

Shaneda Daly waived her right to anonymity after her father Harry, of Lissycasey, pleased guilty to 227 charges including rape, sexual and indecent assault.

Mr Daly is due for release later this year, after serving 7-and-a-half years. He had been sentenced to 15 years in prison, with the last five suspended.
