Cautious Welcome Among Clare Disability Activists For Ratification Of UN Convention

Disability groups are warning the government that ratifying the UN Convention on the rights of people with disabilities needs to be backed up with action.

The Dáíl approved the ratification eleven years after it was first signed by Ireland.

There are now calls being made to ensure that it leads to positive changes for people with disabilities in the country.
