A Cratloe father who ‘thought his daughter may have died’ when she was struck by a car last year is now leading a campaign for the installation of a pedestrian crossing outside the local national school where her daughter was injured.

Padraig Collins’ daughter Eabha thankfully received only minor injuries, and when he spoke with Gavin on Thursday’s Morning Focus, he stressed that the driver involved was not to blame. However, he’s also of the belief that his daughter was lucky, and he wants action taken before it’s too late.

He’s being supported by principal Susan Farley, and local Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat O’Gorman who also joined us on the show.
