Calls For Greater Restrictions For Those Travelling Into Ireland

A full cabinet meeting will take place tomorrow where a raft of new Covid-19 travel measures are expected to be signed off on.

Some of the measures being discussed include garda checkpoints at airports and gardaí patrolling the border.

However the introduction of a mandatory quarantine period for all people travelling into the country isn’t likely to be approved.

On Monday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Public Health Professor at UCC, Patricia Kearney about what restrictions she feels are needed.
