Celine Kennelly, Executive Director of the San Francisco Irish Immigration Pastoral Center, spoke to John Cooke and explained how the centre have been inundated with calls and requests since the news broke as well as many offers of help from the large Irish Community there.
Mairead Boland Kilkee contacted Clare FM yesterday following the breaking news, trying to get in contact with her daughter Laura, a student living a couple of blocks from the apartment block where the tragedy occurred. Laura is on her J1 there and when Mairead learned the news she was naturally very worried for her daughter's safety but thankfully Laura and her friends are safe and well, she shared her experience on Morning Focus.
