Ballyvaughan Canoeist Liam Jegou On The Cancelled Tokyo Olympics

Coronavirus has seen all sporting activity in Ireland cancelled and finally, in recent days, the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics.

A number of countries had called for the decision to be taken but the Japanese authorities had up until yesterday indicated that they were planning on proceeding as planned.

The decision means it’s the first time since WWII that an Olympic Games hasn’t gone ahead as scheduled.
