49 In Clare Receive Help For Heating Costs

49 people in Clare received exceptional funding from the State to help them with heating costs last year.

Figures released to the Dáil show how they’re among over 2,000 people nationwide who were approved for supports in the form of a single exceptional needs payment.

The money was spent on providing fuel, and on essential repairs to equipment.

The average payment for each case in Clare last year was 279 euro, which was broadly in line with the figures nationally.
