Lucky 13 for young Ennis acapella group 12+1, winners of Clare’s Got Talent ENNIS musical group, 12+1 have won the second outing of Clare’s Got Talent and in the process they have scooped the top prize of €5,000 in front of a full audience in Glór Theatre.
Under the stewardship of their teacher, Michael Hennessy, the girls from Coláiste Mhuire in Ennis sang their way to success ahead of 11 other talented acts in last Saturday night’s final.
After congratulating the winners, the General Manager of Clare FM, Susan Murphy paid tribute to the three judges, Tracy Crawford, Nigel Bridge and Brian Flynn who sat through over 150 auditions, four semi-finals and the final over an eight-week period.
“Our sponsors, St Francis Credit Union, contributed in no small way by providing the €5,000 prize money. We must also give credit to all the staff in Glór Theatre who worked so hard with the HD Events production team to put together five wonderful shows,” she said.
