A low level status yellow weather warning is in place for Clare.
Met Éireann is forcasting scattered snow showers across the country from today into tomorrow, with icy patches expected.
There were a number of accidents on the M18/M17 motorway between Ennis and Tuam this morning following hail showers and Gardaí are urging drivers to continue to drive with extreme care during the cold snap.
