An East Clare primary school is set to undergo a major redevelopment in the coming months.
The Department of Education has allocated €351,000 to Lakyle National School, which will include the provision of a new classroom, reconfiguration of the existing classrooms and a new staff room to be completed by September 2018.
Separately, €50,000 has been awarded to the school under CLÁR funding to develop a new astroturf pitch, with work already underway.
