Work is getting underway on the long-awaited Shannon Town Park.
Clare County Council has signed a contract with M. Fitzgibbon Contractors to carry out the project, which will see native woodland planted, a natural water feature installed, footpaths and cycle paths and a bandstand area installed.
The €910,000 project is being funded both by the local authority and The European Regional Development Fund and is expected to be completed by mid-2019.
