Risk Of Flooding As Strong Winds And Heavy Rain Batter The County

Heavy rain and strong winds could lead to flooding in parts of the county today.

A low level yellow wind and rain alert remains in place for Clare until 9 o’clock tonight.

Met Éireann is forecasting rainfalls of up to 50mm, which may lead to some river flooding and localised surface flooding.

While winds of up to 65 kilometres per hour and gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour are also forecast for the day. which may lead to flooding along the coast.
