Up to nine cows were killed in a lightning strike near Kilkee.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon at Dunlicky, on the coast road, while a yellow weather warning was in place for Clare and 18 other counties.
More thunderstorms are expected today, with a weather advisory issued for the whole country until 11pm tonight, and Met Éireann says more warnings are expected to follow.
