Full-time lifeguard cover is taking effect at Clare’s beaches this weekend.
As the hot weather continues, lifeguards will man the strands along the North and West coasts of Clare from tomorrow, from Ballyvaughan down as far as Cappagh, Kilrush.
Clare County Council says the lakeside communities of Mountshannon and Killaloe will also be manned, meaning a total of 12 areas will have seven day a week cover.
