Concern Instructor Shortage Will Lead To Cancelled Water Safety Classes

Concern is being expressed in West Clare that a lack of qualified Water Safety Ireland instructors means water safety classes there are at risk of being cancelled.

Fianna Fáil General Election Candidate Rita McInerney says there’s a scarcity of the instructors and something must be done to incentivise people into the voluntary positions.

She feels coastal areas in Clare in particular are in need of these classes, given the level of water activity in these communities.
