Further Water Restrictions Imposed In North Clare

Further water restrictions have been imposed in North Clare.

Irish Water says prolonged dry weather conditions has generated unprecedented demand on the water supply network.

There’ll be reduced supply in Lahinch, Lisdoonvarna, Doolin, Liscannor, Ballagh-Cahersherkin and surrounding Group Water Supply schemes from 10pm to 6am each night until further notice.

Th utility has also warned that customers in Ennistymon could continue to experience disruption due to ongoing repair works, which may also impact on people in the Ballyvaughan and Fanore areas.

Meanwhile, it’s expected the hosepipe ban to parts of Limerick, Kilkenny and Laois this week.

The measure, which bans the non-essential use of water, has been in place in the Greater Dublin Area since yesterday morning, and anyone who breaks the ban, could face prosecution or a 125 euro fine.
