Vote expected to extingush controversial West Clare Right of Way

The long running dispute over a right of way at Doonbeg Golf Club is set to be raised by Clare Councillors today.

Members of the County Council are expected to vote this evening for the extinguishment of the right of way at Doughmore across the 4th and 14th fairways.

An alternative access route to the beach along with a car park will then be provided a short distance away.

The ongoing and biter row has involved an Oral hearing and two separate High Court actions and Doonbeg Golf Club construction a wall across the right of way.
