Vintners to brainstorm on haemorrhaging sector at Ennis AGM

Publicans from across the country gather in Ennis today to discuss the severe downturn in the pub trade and challenges facing the industry.

Over 350 members of the Vintner’s Federation of Ireland will attend the group’s AGM in the Glór Theatre.

The main issue on their agenda is the current state of the pub trade in Ireland, following independent research which described 2009 as the worst year for the industry in decades.
