A vigil is being held in Ennis this evening to honour the memory of women who have fallen victim to femicide.

Since 1996, 225 women have died tragically in Ireland through violence – six of those in Clare alone.

This evening sees a candlelight walk from Ennis Garda Station to the Court House from 6.30pm in remembrance of those and all women who have died in these circumstances.
