VFI Criticised For Drink Driving Law Opposition

The Vintners Federation of Ireland’s come under attack for its opposition of proposed new drink driving laws.

The lobby group claims the plan to introduce an automatic ban for first time offenders is not backed up by statistics.

But the Road Safety Authority says the federation is downplaying the value of lives by reducing them to insignificant statistics.
