USI Urges Clare County Council To Back Call For Publicly Funded Education

Clare County Council is being urged to back calls for publicly funded third level education in Ireland.

The Union of Students in Ireland has made a presentation to the local authority outlining their view that moving towards an income-contingent loan based system would be detrimental to students’ financial futures.

The local authority has yet to make a final decision on the USI’s call to pressure local Oireachtas members to make their stance known.
