Unemployment Rate Dips Below 10%

The unemployment rate has dipped below 10 per cent for the first time in seven years. 

The Quarterly National Household survey, shows almost 2 million people are now in work in Ireland.

That figure represents a rise of 2.2 per cent on last year.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny says there are still too many people out of work across the country. 

He says the Irish people deserve the credit for the improvement in the economy.
