UHL Tops Overcrowding List Once Again

Hospital trolleys

Nurses say the region’s main hospital is suffering from the highest level of overcrowding in the country once again today.

The latest figures from the INMO show 55 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 32 of those in the Emergency Department.

It’s five more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 588 patients were left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
