The region’s main hospital remains the busiest in the country once again today.
The INMO’s latest trolleywatch analysis shows 53 patients were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 36 of those in the emergency department.
The overall figure is 21 more than the next busiest facility.

It comes on a day when 388 people have been left waiting on trolleys in hospital across the country, a 4% drop on the same day last year.
