UHL Overcrowding Levels Double That Of Other Irish Hospitals

Trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital are double that of any other hospital in the country.

The latest figures from the INMO show 50 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 30 of those in the emergency department.

A further 20 are being accomodated in overflow areas of wards.

The overall figures is 25 more than the next busiest hospital – the Mater in Dublin – and comes on a week where the level of overcrowding at UHL has remained high.
