Two Men Remain Critical Following Fatal Ennis Collision

Two young men remain in a critical condition in hospital following a crash in Ennis which claimed the life of an 18-year-old.

The three were travelling in a car which collided with a wall on the Shanaway Road, near Hotel Woodstock, in the early hours of this morning.

The 18-year-old, who was a front seat passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and a second passenger, aged 19 and 21, were taken to University Hospital Limerick.

Gardaí have carried out a forensic examination of the scene and are now working to establish the cause of the accident.
