Two Men Arrested Following Ennis Road Crash Have Been Released

Two men arrested in connection with a serious road crash in Ennis have been released without charge.

They were arrested on Wednesday night and questioned at Ennis Garda Station prior to their release.

Gardaí are appealing to man who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Gardaí have issued a renewed appeal for information following a road crash in Ennis on Wednesday night.

Two cars collided at Sheill's roundabout around 10 o'clock, injuring a 42-year-old man who was out walking at the time – he remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Gardaí are anxious to speak to one man in particular, he was walking on the McDonald's side of Sheill's roundabout, wearing a backpack.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 68 48 100.

Two men arrested in connection with the road crash have since been released without charge.

The men, aged 19 and 25,  were detained on Wednesday night and questioned by Gardaí in Ennis, prior to their release today. 

A file is being sent to the DPP.
