Two of Clare’s main towns have been honoured as some of Ireland’s Most Enterprising Towns.
Ennis has been named as the winner of the category for large towns in the Bank of Ireland Begin Together Awards.
Previously titled the National Enterprise Town Awards, the scheme recognised the spirit of enterprise and resilience in towns and cities across the Island of Ireland.

By virtue of its win, Ennis claims prizes worth €10,000 while Kilrush, which had also been named as a finalist in its category, has won €5,000.
Former Ireland rugby international Tommy Bowe announced Ennis as the category winner.
