Trolley Numbers At UHL Two Dozen Higher Than Next Busiest Facility

Nurses say 55 people have been left waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest figures from the INMO show 30 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, with a further 25 on trolleys in wards.

The overall figure is more than two dozen more than the next busiest facility.

It comes on a day when 362 people have been left waiting on admission at hospitals across the country, a 30% rise on the same day last year.
