Hospital trolleys

Trolley numbers are on the rise at the region’s main hospital once again as the week begins.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows 22 patients were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 19 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 7 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 94 patients were left waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
