Trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital have jumped again today to almost twice that of any other facility.
The latest INMO figures show 57 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 40 of those in the emergency department.
The overall figure is 29 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 181 patients were left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
