Tributes Paid To South Galway Cllr Michael ‘Stroke Fahy’

Tributes are being paid to Galway Councillor Michael ‘Stroke’ Fahy, who’s passed away following a short illness.

The Ardrahan-based representative was a member of Galway County Council for nearly forty years, having first been elected for Fianna Fáil in 1979.

He parted ways with the party for a number of years and ran as an independent, but he rejoined Fianna Fáil last December, and had been selected to run for them in the upcoming local elections in the Gort/Kinvara area.
