Tragic Teen Killed In Ennis Road Crash Named Locally

A tragic teenager who died following an early morning Easter Sunday road crash has been named locally.

Oisín Cahill was a front seat passenger in a car which collided with a wall on the Shanaway Road near Hotel Woodstock at around 4.15am yesterday.

He was a past pupil of Rice College in Ennis.

The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver and a second passenger, aged 19 and 21, remain in critical condition in University Hospital Limerick.

One of the injured is believed to be Oisín’s cousin.

They had been involved with the Kilmaley U21 hurlers in their final on Saturday.
