“Worst July In Memory” For East Clare Tourism

Tourism Providers in parts of East Clare claim that this month has been the worst July in memory for the sector there.

It comes as Clare County Council has assured that work is ongoing behind the scenes on the development of Holy Island, following the awarding of €920,000 in February under the Rural Regeneration Scheme.

A project delivery team has been appointed though no timeline has been outlined on when visible work will commence on the historic monastic island near the Scarriff shore of Lough Derg.
