Plans are afoot to develop a major tourism strategy for Ennis, to deliver a Niche Destination Plan that is unique to the town.
A visionary session is being held in the Templegate Hotel this morning with tourism experts and local stakeholders, with a view to brainstorming ideas on how to develop unique experiences for the town.
A contractor has been appointed to lead the project, while funding is being sought through the LEADER programme, with the hope being to lure those visiting the likes of the Cliffs of Moher to stay in Ennis too.
