Marginal Growth In Visitor Numbers At Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher is reporting a growth in visitor numbers so far this year.

Clare County Council has told Clare FM that in the nine months up to the end of September, overall visitor numbers are up 1.2% at the world famous North Clare attraction.

That’s roughly in line with an increase in the number of overseas trips to Ireland this year, and comes in spite of a fall-off in UK visitors to Ireland and general tough trading conditions in the tourism sector.

The Council says it has seen a softening in the group tour market at the Cliffs of Moher, but the market for individual travellers is said to have performed well.
