Some of Clare’s top tourist spots will have designated beach ambassadors for the first time ever this summer.
Clare County Council is to pilot the ambassador scheme in both Kilkee and Lahinch, with the officers on hand five hours per day, seven days a week.
They will engage with the public, answer any questions they may have, they will hand out doggy bags, clean and maintain public amenities and pick up litter on the strand and promenade.
