The 40th annual Rose of Clare Festival is underway in Cooraclare.
The ever-popular event began last night and runs throughout the week, culminating next Friday when a young woman from somewhere in the county will be crowned the Rose of Clare.
There will be plenty of entertainment throughout, including a field day, a parade, a kiddies disco, a quiz night, a song contest and a toy tractor run.
