The CEO of Tourism Ireland says he’s confident the Burren’s EcoTourism Network being recognised globally will pay dividends here in the Midwest sooner rather than later.
The network is the only Irish project to be recognised in Lonely Planet’s ‘Best In Community’ Category as part of the travel guide’s awards.
There have been fears expressed by local tourism operators the sector will continue to suffer here in Clare until a COVID-19 vaccine is found and connectivity at Shannon Airport is restored to pre-pandemic levels.
