Ten Year Strategy To Fix Health System Launched

Clare’s Independent TD believes a new ten-year strategy can fix our broken health system.

The Dáil committee on the future of healthcare is this morning launching Sláintecare, which has been described as the first comprehensive plan to reform our heath service.

It will require a €2.8 billion investment over the next decade, plus a three billion euro transition fund, and proposes phasing out private healthcare in public hospitals and wants to offer free GP care to everyone.
