Teacher Pay Talks ‘Inching Forward’ – INTO

The Clare-based President of the INTO says talks with the Department of Education on pay equality are ‘inching forward’.

But Joe Killeen is warning that the deadline of the end of September is coming fast and this needs to be delivered in the upcoming budget.

The threat of strike action still stands if salaries don’t improve, particularly for new recruits, and they also want the restoration of recession cuts.
