Taoiseach Defends Pat Breen’s Role In Broadband Scandal

The Taoiseach says Minister Pat Breen shouldn’t resign over his role in last week’s scandal that forced the Communications Minister to resign.

Minister Breen invited then Minister Denis Naughten to a dinner at the home of businessman David McCourt, a bidder for the National Broadband Plan contract.

Deputy Naughten resigned after allegations his meetings with a bidder undermined the procurement process for the broadband plan.
