The Taoiseach has spoken out against Donald Trump’s plan to ban transgender people from the military.

Leo Varadkar says he objects to the plan and would never introduce similar measures in Ireland.

Trump’s plans have drawn condemnation from around the world, and drawn confusion internally, with the US Army saying no changes have been applied yet.
