The Tanaiste has insisted that the risk of a terror attack in Clare and Ireland remains low.
Minister Frances Fitzgerald has been speaking in the wake of the terror attacks in and near Barcelona, which add the Spanish city to the list of places that have been hit by such deadly incidents.
The Tanaiste has been in Ennis this evening, attending events connected with Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, which is expected to bring around 400,000 people into the Clare town.
Questions have also been asked as to whether the use of Shannon Airport by the US military could make it a target for terrorists, but Minister Fitzgerald has told Clare FM that the threat level remains low.
