Suspected Link Between Suspicious Package In Limerick And Letter Bombs Sent To UK

A suspicious package uncovered at the An Post Depot in Limerick is suspected to be linked to letters sent to London and Glasgow earlier this month.

The parcel, which was discovered shortly after 6 o’clock this morning, has been removed from the Dock Road facility by an army bomb disposal team, and has now been sent for forensic examination.

GardaĆ­ are continuing to liaise with the British Authorities on their investigation.
