Surge In Overcrowding Levels In UHL

Nurses say there’s been a surge in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital again today.

43 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 27 of those in the emergency department.

It’s over a dozen more than the next busiest facility on a day when 393 patients are waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
